Fun Fact:

  • I once impressed other skiers by reaching the bottom of the famous KT-22 (Squaw Valley Ski Resort) faster than my skis using unplanned cartwheels, tumbling, and uncontrolled sliding.

My Inspiration as Part of the Team:

  • I truly enjoy contributing to solutions for the various challenges within our industry. Contributing to the completion of a study that will enhance the life of animals inspires me.

Stephen E. Bienhoff, DVM, MBA, PhD

Chief Scientific Officer

  • Native of Kansas with degrees from Kansas State University (undergraduate and veterinary) and the University of Missouri-Columbia (business and graduate)

  • Veterinarian with practice experience in rural Kansas mixed animal practice

  • Experience in the animal health industry, since 1994, with focus on pharmaceutical research, development, and regulatory affairs

  • Pharmaceutical development experience includes numerous animal species, including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, pigs, chickens, and fish

  • Key strengths include clinical study design and regulatory strategy consultation

Fun Fact:

  • During summer weekends, if I am not mowing my 2.5-acre lawn (which I love to do), I am on the lake or the North Carolina Outer Banks!

  • I love clinical development; the perfect mix of research and clinical medicine!

Georgiana Syby, MPH

Head of Clinical Services

  • I received a BS in Biology from Monmouth University in 2003 and an MPH from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2008. While attending UMDNJ, I worked at Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson and Johnson company

  • I began my career with AlcheraBio in 2008 as a Monitor and moved into a project management role in 2012. In January of 2018, I began my role as Head of Clinical Services

  • In my current role, I am responsible for leading the clinical monitoring team

  • I enjoy developing our clinical monitoring team to ensure we provide the best service for our clients

  • During my ten years with this company, I have enjoyed seeing AlcheraBio grow into what it is today

Fun Fact:

  • I love traveling the world with my husband and children. While traveling, we search for sea glass to add to our collection.
