Feline Diabetes Mellitus Study

Does your cat drink or urinate excessively? Is he or she abnormally hungry, but still losing weight?

Participating clinics are looking for cats with Diabetes Mellitus for a clinical study evaluating a potentially new treatment for the disease.

Eligibility Criteria include, but are not limited to:

  • Symptoms of Diabetes Mellitus based on specific measurements, including:

    • Excessive Thirst

    • Excessive Urination

    • Excessive Hunger

    • Weight Loss

  • Willingness of owner to comply with study requirements and oral administration of study medication to cat

  • Cannot be pregnant, lactating, in estrus, or intended for breeding

  • Must not have a history of urinary tract surgery, or be scheduled to have surgery requiring general anesthesia

  • Extended absences for more than 7 days during the course of the study will cause ineligibility for participation

Costs for all study-related lab work, clinic visits, study medication and diet will be covered, and you may receive financial compensation for your full participation in the study!
