Jane Eagleson, BVSc, MVSc
President
Jane Eagleson is the president of AlcheraBio LLC and head of client services of Argenta Limited, AlcheraBio’s parent company. She joined Argenta in 2007. Her depth and breadth of experience at Merck & Co. Inc.’s animal health division and Pfizer Animal Health is a major asset to AlcheraBio as the company continues to grow and move forward.
Dr. Eagleson received her BVSc from the University of Sydney in Australia and her MVSc from Massey University in New Zealand. After working as a research veterinarian in Australia, Dr. Eagleson relocated to the US where she managed development projects for Merck’s animal health division.
In 1999, she joined the veterinary medicine research and development organization at Pfizer Animal Health, where she managed a staff of more than 60 people, relocated the organization from Connecticut to Michigan, and developed a number of innovative project-management processes. Dr. Eagleson then moved to new products marketing, which involved long-term strategic planning, opportunity assessment, and prioritization of postmarketing studies. Following that assignment, Dr. Eagleson had the opportunity to relocate to India, where, among other activities, she established a new global pharmaceutical veterinary sciences organization and led strategic planning initiatives for Pfizer Inc.’s Asian business development effort.
During more than 25 years in the animal health industry, Dr. Eagleson has completed development of a number of pharmaceutical products, including five new chemical entities (NCEs). Her activities at Argenta have included strategic planning, business development, resource allocation, and project management. She is the author of more than 35 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals.
