Marie-Paul Lachaud Lefay, DVM

Dr. Lachaud-Lefay received a veterinary degree from Alfort National Veterinary School in Paris, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Paris, where she was a Bronze Medal Winner.
After working in private practice and agricultural and veterinary market research positions, Dr. Lachaud-Lefay joined Pharmacia Canada Inc.’s diagnostics division where she was responsible for a number of areas including medical education and multi-center trials.
In 1989 she founded PROTOCOLE, a veterinary consultancy focused on drug development and preclinical and clinical studies. In 2000, PROTOCOLE became part of ICON Clinical Research, which at that time offered veterinary clinical research services. After ICON’s departure from the animal health sector in 2008, Dr. Lachaud-Lefay became an animal health consultant. In May 2009, AlcheraBio developed an alliance with Dr. Lachaud-Lefay to manage AlcheraBio’s clinical studies and other activities in Europe. Her experience, ingenuity, and vast network of resources are tremendous assets to AlcheraBio and our clients.
